While an average believer does that with sincere motive, not so with the unbeliever. My advise is to be cautious and mindful of who we hug at any point in time. My husband is unsaved and is sometimes unkind. He has improved greatly, and has been very thoughtful at times, but sometimes I feel hurt by him. I have learned over the years to make Jesus my center. But I deliberately do not have men as personal friends, even in the chuch. Definitely, no hugs with men - very bad idea. Temptation, weakness, irresponsibility, sin, death.
